WATER DOS RESERVAS

Cayambe-Coca National Park is of great importance as it contributes to both the Pacific and Amazon River watersheds. It has 58 micro-basins and 35 tributaries of the Coca River, which feed the Napo River, with clean waters flowing down from the park's páramos, especially notable in the Papallacta-Baeza section, where the "Dos Reservas Papallacta" watershed stands out.

Importance

These springs are vital to local communities, hydroelectric projects, as well as tourism, recreation, and small businesses that benefit from the purity of the water. The park's climate allows for constant water storage, preventing shortages in the area.

Agua Dos Reservas stands out for its intelligent water resource management, ensuring benefits without compromising the flow to the Amazon region. A perfect balance between utilization and preservation.
