PLAN TORRENT DUCK DOS RESERVAS
In our reserve, you have the opportunity to observe the famous Torrent Duck (depending on arrival time and length of stay). Every morning, you can admire a variety of hummingbirds in our alder forest along the river. Head to the island to continue birdwatching. Enjoy a coffee and a snack on our deck overlooking the river.

WATERFALLS PLAN DOS RESERVAS
We'll begin our tour through the hummingbird forest with our guide. Then, we'll cross the Papallacta River to begin a hike through the forest and reach the first waterfall. We'll continue our tour until we reach the second waterfall, which rises over 60 meters high. We'll return along the Papallacta River, crossing three different islands with the possibility of stopping at a beach where you can cool off in the waters of the Papallacta River.
We provide rubber boots and a coffee station upon arrival.

PLAN FULL DAY
This is the perfect plan that combines the energy of Dos Reservas and the relaxation of the hot springs. This plan includes transportation to and from Quito (flexible schedule). Arrival at Dos Reservas Papallacta and a hike through the forest, waterfalls, and river, lunch, and departure to the hot springs (admission included). Return to Quito.

CAYAMBE COCA WALK
If you enjoy hiking or trekking and are looking for new places full of beautiful landscapes and challenging terrain, this hike is for you. We'll depart from the Papallacta Reserves and climb the mountain toward the Cayambe-Coca Reserve. We'll see the reserve's beautiful landscapes and be able to see the Cayambe and Antisana volcanoes.

HORSEBACK RIDING
If you're a horse lover, this experience is for you. We have 7 horses available for short rides around the property. We have a specialized horse guide. Groups of at least 6 people.

BIRD WATCHING
Our reserve is a birdwatching hotspot, where you can see unique and interesting birds such as the Inca Jay (green jay), the Turquoise Jay, the Collared Trogon, and several species of hummingbirds. We are gradually discovering more endemic birds in the reserve.
This activity can be accompanied by an expert bird guide and is recommended to be done very early in the morning upon reservation.
CHOCOLATE SESSION
Did you know that one of the types of Ecuadorian cacao is the most sought-after by chocolate makers around the world, due to the quality of its beans and its fine aroma? At Dos Reservas Papallacta, you can enjoy a Chocolate Session where you'll learn all about its cultivation and participate in the chocolate-making process, followed by a delicious cup of chocolate milk.

BIKE RIDES
The tour begins at the Virgin of Papallacta, stopping at the entrance to Papallacta. The next stop is Dos Reservas, where you can have a snack and explore the hummingbird forest and the river islands. A food cart will accompany you throughout the tour.
